Sadly, some Gigabyte users have no such luck and their factory overclock to over 400W is causing cards to destroy themselves. Even decreasing max TDP to 250W is improving the situation greatly, I’ve discovered during my testing. They couldn’t push if any harder, because physically, the card would not be able to dissipate this much of heat. This is causing fans to spin faster and temps to go very high towards thermal throttling point. I’ve noticed that my GPU is pushed far with factory overclocking by PowerColor. Increasing fan curves for both CPU and GPU is a good modification before summer heat. My CPU temp is 76 C under full stress, Tjmax point where CPU start to throttle is 90 C. With default fan speeds, temps were around 90-95 C. GPU core temp is 86 C, which is well below the thermal throttling point of 110 C. 2200 RPM instead of 1300 RPM during max stress. I wish conversations here would be only constructive, but this is not always the case. ![]() I am not saying it is you, but the public in general. Sorry if my post felt hostile, it’s not always my intention Unfortunately, too many people are just demanding everything, play offended victim, blaming everyone but themselves, this forum is full of such examples. ![]() Sharing knowledge can help everybody without cons. You may not know this but some people may think their hardware is failing for such behaviour and pay for replacement/RMA/tech support. I only reported my system behaviour to others with similar hardware as mine so they don’t feel alone and know its sistematic (and not personal issue). You’re just here to argue… I never mentioned my gaming expirience nor who’s at fault.
